Yes, it's that time for the gingerbread house! It's very taskful this year! We still managed to get the darn thing to stick together...good grief we were ready to throw in the towel. We finally let it sit for half the day for the icing/glue to harden if that didn't work it was time for the glue gun! ha! ha! Angie and I had to leave the boys to head off to New York so the decorating is all the Minger boys! ha! ha! I have to say they did a pretty good boyish job! You notice the gingerbread man hanging off the roof? I'm surprised there's not army men around it seizing the ginger bread men! ha! ha! I wouldn't put that pass them for next year. Well there you go Gingerbread house 2009.

Where's Chris? Well here I am! I have been in the working station of our house. Down stairs in our basement is John's work shop, my wrapping station and my craft room. This has many late nights and early sleepless mornings already this month. Make the clock slow down! Even the dogs have kept me company many late nights here. It's usally not this clean. A week ago you couldn't even open my craft room door! The elf was at work! Like I said, I was either in my craft room or the wrapping station or at work or half way in bed!

Even Angie has Christmas in her room. The dolls in her doll house get Christmas too!

Open house at the Minger's! Those love ones of mine that live across the country and those love ones who are just a few minutes away come on in and take a peek. As you can see we are ready for the wonderful holiday. Santa has a couple trees to lay his presents under and the Christmas cards are stamped and sealed waiting for Jake our post man. You can even see Holly our dog peeking around the corner with her green Christmas flower on her red collar. Yes, yes we do decorate the dogs too! ha! ha! It just wouldn't be right if we didn't. They even get stockings.
You can see out our kitchen window our view now...about this time the pond will be frozen. You know it's cold outside when our pond is iced over.

This another Christmas treat! Which one should we pick first is the question the kids ask and then they claim them. They have to wear the hats too it's just not as good with out the hats.

This is just some of the treats we get when the holidays come around. Caleb's school gives us a Christmas concert and they are always so wonderful. We look forward to these kind of things (john & I). We love Caleb's band teacher too. Her heart is so into music. As you can see Brad & Angie enjoyed it too...ha! ha!

This was our first snow this month in DECEMBER!!!! We usually get in late Jan. or Feb, and sometimes March. So this was a nice little treat from mother nature. We love the snow as you can see. Even the dogs. The kids made the snowman early this winter. Before winter Solstice too.
Something about a snowy day!
Even hot chocolate taste the best when the snow is falling!

Angie has glasses! She walked out of the eye doctors and started to read everything in sight! She was very quiet on the drive home...I think she was taking it all in with new sight. She even looks so darn cute in glasses. We bought two just incase, you never know. She seems to be comfortable with them.

Here's a short clip of Angie at her dance practice. Getting ready for the big recital!
